Bessie E. “Delaune” Angeron April 2, 1914 November 26, 2009 Bessie Elizabeth Delaune Angeron a native of Morgan City and resident of Patterson passed away at Teche Regional Medical Center on Thursday, November 26, 2009. Bessie is survived by her four sons; Ivy Angeron and his wife, Margie of Verdunville, David Angeron and his wife, Jean of Patterson, Maxim Angeron and his wife, Judy of Wichita, Kansas and Herschell Angeron and his wife, Helen of Alexander, Arkansas, three daughters; Gladys Bailey of Bayou Vista, Gaydell Childress of Carencro, Polly Angeron of Houston, Texas, and one sister, Belle Gibson of Morgan City. Bessie is also survived by 28 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren, and 14 great-great grandchildren. Bessie was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph A. “Capt. Pony” Angeron, her parents, Eitienne and Cleonise Delaune, one daughter, Martha Saujon, three brothers; Dewey, Claude and Guy Delaune, one sister Alice Webb and four son-in-laws; Paul Foret, Sr., C.S. “Jack” Bailey, Gerald Saujon, and Willie Childress. The visitation will be held on Friday, December 4, 2009 starting at 6pm until 10pm at Twin City Funeral Home and resuming at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Patterson on Saturday, December 5, 2009 at 9am until 10am and a Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10am. Bessie will be laid to rest in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Patterson.
