Evella Mayon Crochet February 10, 1930 January 13, 2010 Evella Mayon Crochet a lifelong resident of Morgan City passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at Teche Regional Medical Center. Evella was a wonderful and loving mother and grandmother to her children and grandchildren. She was also a devoted catholic who enjoyed attending Sacred Heart Church whenever she could. She will be missed by all who knew her. Evella is survived by her six sons; Tracy Crochet and his wife, Mary of Berwick, Barry Crochet of Morgan City, Scott Crochet and his wife, Julie of Morgan City, Ched Crochet of Morgan City, Eric Crochet of Morgan City and Dwight Crochet and his wife, Cathy of Berwick and one brother, Ellery Mayon Sr. and his wife, Edlena of Morgan City. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Evella is preceded in death by her husband, Clay J. Crochet Jr., her parents, Dudley and Lydia Mayon Sr. and one brother, Dudley Mayon Jr. Visitation will begin on Monday, January 18, 2010 at 6:00pm until 9:00pm at Twin City Funeral Home and resume on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at 8:30am until 9:30am. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church officiated by Fr. Greg.
