Edgar Toups

Edgar Joseph Toups Sr. November 9, 1929 January 30, 2010 Edgar Joseph Toups Sr. a lifelong resident of Berwick passed away at his residence on Saturday, January 30, 2010. Edgar enjoyed being around his family and his dog “Buddy”. Edgar’s family is going to miss him very much, but he will never be forgotten. Edgar is survived by his wife, Edna Toups, his three sons; Edgar Jr. of Bayou Vista, Robert of Berwick, and Gary of Bayou Vista, two step sons; Kenneth and Randy Boyne, and one step daughter, Karen Boyne. His is also survived by nine grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Edgar is preceded in death by his first wife, Rachel Toups, his parents; Edward and Olamp Toups, one brother and two sisters, and one stepdaughter Debra Horton. Visitation was today, Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at 10:00 am until 1:00pm at Twin City Funeral Home and the service began at 1:00pm officiated by Rev. Aaron Carpenter of Patterson First United Methodist Church. Edgar will be laid to rest in the Berwick Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the East St. Mary Veterans Funeral Squad.
