Raymond Solar Jr.

Raymond Joseph Solar Jr. January 28, 1947 February 2, 2010 Raymond Joseph Solar Jr. a native of Morgan City and a resident of Bush LA passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital. Raymond was a wonderful husband and caring father that thought of his family first. Raymond loved the Saints and watching them on television. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends. Raymond is survived by his wife, Dorothy Sauce Solar, his son, Byron Solar and his wife, Jamie of Abita Springs, his daughter, Raylin May-Nicholls and her husband, Walt of Mandeville, his brother, Donald Solar of Morgan City, and his sister, Judy Solar Faul and her husband, Ronald of Morgan City, and five grandsons; Shawn Solar, Alex May, Troy Turner, Kaleb Solar, and Korey Solar and one granddaughter, Brittany May. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents; Raymond and Hazel Solar Sr., two brothers, Ernest and Byrnes Solar. Visitation was held on Wednesday, February, 3, 2010 from 6pm until 9pm at Twin City Funeral Home and Thursday, February 4, 2010 from 9am until 10am with service starting at 10am. Raymond was laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery. Twin City Funeral Home has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
