Nick J. Arcemont Jr., a native of Bayou L’Ourse, died at his residence in Stephensville, on Sunday February 14, 2010. Nick was a very successful life long businessman in the Patterson and Morgan City areas. Nick lived life to the full.
Nick is survived by four sons, David N Arcemont of Morgan City, Jude Arcemont of Patterson, Nickey J. Arcemont Sr. of Carencro, and Paul C. Arcemont of Patterson, and five daughters, Vernona Marsh of Labadiville, Deanna Guidry, of Cypress, Texas, Arlene Fontenot of Sulphur, Mary LeBlanc of Friendswood, Texas, and Elizabeth Porterfield of Nederland, Texas. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren, and 25 great grandchildren
Nick was preceded in death by his parents, Nicholas and Clara LeBlanc Arcemont; his two wives, Olive Landry, and Odette Greig; one daughter, Maria Elizabeth; one grandson, William “Billy” Marsh; eight brothers, and six sisters.
He was a veteran of W W l l in the US Coast Guard, a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and a member of the fourth degree Knights of Columbus, of which he served very proudly.
Visitation will be on Thursday February 18, 2010, at Sacred Heart Church, beginning at 8 AM until 10AM. Mass of Christian burial will begin at 10 AM, with burial to follow in the Morgan City Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church in his honor.
