Doris Aucoin

Doris Ida Hymel Aucoin May 5, 1921 July 10, 2010 Doris Ida Hymel Aucoin a native of Chackbay and a resident of Amelia passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans. Doris is survived by her three sons: Gregory Aucoin of Morgan City, Blane Aucoin and his wife, Susan of Morgan City, Thane Aucoin and his wife, Sunya of Morgan Cityand one daughter, Cynthia Aucoin of Morgan City. She is also survived by eight grandchildren: Mary Frances Aucoin, Emma Aucoin, Ryan Aucoin, Erin Aucoin, Amy Desormeaux, Alyse Aucoin, Austin Aucoin and Nicholas Lirette and two great grandchildren: Tate Aucoin and Rhett Desormeaux, along with one sister Beatrice Easley. Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Aucoin; her parents, Walter and Emma Hymel: one son, Joseph Aucoin; four sisters and three brothers. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Amelia starting at 9am until 11am with a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11am. Doris will be laid to rest in the St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery in Amelia.
