Archie Anthony May a native of Morgan City and a resident of Bayou Vista passed away on Friday, July 9, 2010 at his residence.
Archie could accomplish anything he set his mind to and took pride in the quality of work he did. He received many different certificates in the field of mechanics which included automotive and aviation. Many times his co-workers and family could bring difficult problems to him and he would be able to figure them out because he had a gift of being a master troubleshooter. Archie also had such a “gift of gab” that made story telling a wonderful experience for his family and friends. Most of all, what Archie will be remembered by is that he was a very loving and affectionate man. He was so very appreciative of his family who took care of him up to him passing. Archie will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
Archie is survived by his wife, Sandra May of Pulaski, Miss.; one daughter, Velma May of Pulaski, Miss.; and two grandchildren: Velma and Cyrus May both of Pulaski, Miss. Archie is also survived by three brothers: Ronald May Sr. of Gibson, Garry May of Bayou L’Ourse, and Harry May of Duson; four sisters: Jackie Montet of Amelia, Patricia Pasion of Hawaii, Veronica Bernadou of Bayou Vista and Blanche LeBlanc of Charenton including numerous nieces and nephews.
Archie was preceded in death by his parents, Earnest and Gertrude May Sr.; one son, Brandon May; four brothers: Earnest Jr., Lawney, John Wayne and John Paul May and one nephew, Ronnie May Jr.
