Georgiana Marie Fields

Georgiana Marie Fields, surrounded by family, entered peacefully into eternal life on August 15, 2010, after enjoying a full and rich life with family and friends. She was born in New Orleans on April 22, 1933. She was a native and lifelong resident of Morgan City, LA. She is a retiree of the St. Mary Parish School Board after 30 years of making a difference in the lives of many children. Affectionately known as “Maw-Maw”, Georgiana enjoyed a full and rich life with family and friends and was loved by many. She had a special place in all of her family’s heart and will be greatly missed but not forgotten. She tirelessly devoted her love and time to her family. While a great loss to her family, Heaven welcomes an incredible Angel. Survivors include three sons, James (Jimmy) Fields and wife Angela, Dale Fields, and Don Fields. She is also survived by three daughters, Julie Vining and husband Tracy, Rickie Bertrand and husband Kenny, and Stacie Boudreaux and husband Phillip. Mrs. Fields also leaves behind 14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Merlin James Fields.
Visitation was held Monday, August 16, 2010 at Twin City Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Funeral services were held Monday, August 16, 2010 at 12:00 p.m. at Twin City Funeral Home.
She was laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
Arrangements were entrusted to Twin City Funeral Home.
