Ora Ann Claire Bergeron October 11,1927 November 24, 2010 Ora Ann Claire Bergeron, 83, a resident of Lafayette and former resident of Morgan City, passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at her residence in Lafayette. Claire was a very devout Catholic and Adoration participant. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, Sacred Heart Samaritan’s and a Thrift Store worker. Claire was also a member of AARP, she enjoyed music & dancing, gardening, reading, sewing and traveling, Claire loved cooking for her family gatherings. She was a very compassionate lady who always enjoyed helping others. Claire is survived by two daughters, Loraine Theriot and her fiancé Matt Vercher of Natchitoches, Annette Landry and her husband Steve of Morgan City. Three sons, Jimmy Bergeron and his wife Tammy of Lafayette, Tommy Bergeron and his wife Brenda of New Iberia, John Bergeron and his wife Florina of Morgan City. Claire is also survived by one brother, James Walker and his wife Laverene of Houma, one sister, Marie Walker of Houma, 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Claire was preceded in death by her parents, Willis and Lorine Bouquet Walker, her husband Sheldon Bergeron, one daughter, Lisa B. Bryan and 3 grandchildren, Leah Bergeron, Elizabeth and Patricia Bryan. The visitation will be held Friday, November 26, 2010 at Twin City Funeral Home from 6pm until 9pm with a Rosary at 7Pm. The visitation will resume Saturday, November 27, 2010 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 8am until 10am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am. Claire will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
