Amanda Fay Sandt

Amanda Fay Chavis Sandt, 40, a resident of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi and native of Gibson, Louisiana, left us to eternally care for her daughter and granddaughter in heaven on Tuesday, June 14, 2022.

Amanda was born August 5, 1981 in Morgan City, LA, the daughter of Dwana and Victor Chavis Sr. She was the eldest of five siblings, the mother to four beautiful daughters, and the grandmother to five wonderful grandchildren.

She is lovingly survived by her husband, Ryan Sandt; daughters, Xexis Turner (Travis), Aleira Landry (Jamaar), and Nerissa Chavis (Esmail); step-daughter, Janet; parents, Dwana Barras (Bobby), Victor Chavis, Sr., and step-father, Charley Driskill; grandparents, Judy Miller and Luther Chavis (Lacreda), and Alice Harrel; siblings, Victor Chavis Jr. (Tabitha), Sarah Chavis, Kaylynn Driskill (Jahcobi), and Jamie Driskill; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles whom she loved dearly. 

She is preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Olga and Pierre Simon, Doris and Pearl Miller; grandparents, Claude and Katie Barras; step-grandmother, Floris Driskill and great-grandfather, Gordan Harrel; daughter, Kailey Chavis; granddaughter, Kaislee Harris.

Amanda will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be at Twin City Gospel Temple in Berwick, LA on Tuesday June 21, 2022 from 10:00 am to the religious service beginning at 1:00 pm.
