Amos “J-boy” Joseph Scadlock, 75, a resident of Patterson, passed away peacefully Sunday, February 27, 2022, at his home.
Amos was born September 15, 1946, in Morgan City, the son of Amos James Scadlock and Eunice Comeaux Scadlock.
Amos was a master carpenter and worked for former Governor, Mike Foster for 38 years. Amos enjoyed hunting and watching LSU football and wrestling on T.V.
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 32 years, Geraldine “Liz” Frost Scadlock of Patterson; two children, Sonya Brown of Ruston, LA, and Christopher Johnson of Dalton, GA; four sisters, LeAnna Foret of Patterson, Louella Aucoin of Patterson, Betty Boudreaux and husband Elwood of Houma, Emma Boudreaux of New Iberia; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews, Shelli and David Peter Boudreaux, Harold Jr. and Della Boudreaux, Floyd Aucoin Jr.; best friends Tom and Audrey Jones.
Amos was preceded in death by his parents, Amos and Eunice Scadlock; step-son, Charles Wayne Brown.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, March 3, 2022 at Twin City Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Porter officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 3, 2022 at Twin City Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services. After services, Amos will be laid to rest in the Patterson Cemetery.
