Betty Fanguy Aucoin

Betty Fanguy Aucoin, 70, a resident of Morgan City, passed away peacefully, May 14, 2022 at Terrebonne General Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.

Betty was born September 30, 1951, in Houma, the daughter of Allen Jean De Baptist Fanguy and Hilda LeBouef Fanguy.

Betty was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother; she loved her grandchildren with all her heart and enjoyed spending time with them, as well as friends and family. Betty also enjoyed gardening.

She will be greatly missed by all the hearts she touched, including her husband of 51 years, Larry Aucoin of Morgan City; two daughters, Melissa Thibodaux and husband Tommy of Thibodaux and Brandy Aucoin of Baton Rouge; one brother, Richard Fanguy of Chauvin; two grandchildren, Taylor and Macie Thibodaux.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Hilda Fanguy; two sisters, Pearl Lyons and Melba Fanguy.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 18, 2022, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Henry Sebastian officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 18, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. After Mass, Betty will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery Mausoleum.
