Billy Francis Galey Sr.

With a heavy heart, we announce the passing of Billy Francis Galey Sr., a beloved father, grandfather, and member of the Morgan City community. Born on October 16, 1937, in Morgan City, LA, Mr. Galey passed away on September 1, 2024, at his residence in Morgan City.

Throughout his life, Mr. Galey truly enjoyed serving the community as an electrician through his company Billy Galey Electrical Service, which he founded in 1968. He also served his country in the National Guard. He found solace in the peaceful moments he spent boating and shrimping. He also had a deep passion for gardening and spending time in his yard.

Mr. Galey leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication. He is survived by his sons, Billy Galey Jr. and Marc Galey and wife Stacey as well as his grandchildren: Billy Galey III, Aaron Galey, Nicole Phillips, Alexis Galey, Gabrielle Galey, and Madison Galey and six great grandchildren.

Billy was preceded in death by his son, Michael Galey and his parents Forrest Galey and Irma Solar Walker.
