Bobby Paul Acosta 72, a resident of Stephensville, passed away peacefully, Wednesday,
November 23, 2022 at 4:57am at Ochsner St. Mary. surrounded by his loved ones.
Bobby was born February 1, 1951, in Napoleonville, the son of Roland Acosta and Marcella Delaune Acosta.
Bobby was a true Cajun.. Bobby was a commercial fisherman by trade and enjoyed crawfishing, crabbing, and hoop netting. He also loved cooking for his family every Sunday out on his dock on the water. Bobby also loved watching Westerns on TV, and enjoyed cutting his grass.
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 50 years, Sarah Fabre Acosta of Stephensville; Three children, Samantha Landry and her husband Gibson Landry of Bayou L’Ourse; Bobbie Jean Acosta and her companion Pat Giroir of Morgan City, and Calvin M. Acosta of Stephensville; six grandchildren, Tyler Landry and his fiance Kayla Hebert; Roderick Prestenbach Jr.; Kailey Landry and her companion Quinton Toups ; Hollister Hebert, Hayden Acosta, and Rainee Glenn; three great-grandchildren, Myles and Maverick Landry; one soon to be born, Maddox Landry; Numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, and plenty other family members and friends.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Roland and Marcella Acosta; two brothers, Duffy and Kalvin Acosta.
Visitation will be held Monday, November 28, 2022 at Twin City Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., with a small service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at Twin City Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:am Tuesday, November 29,2022 at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Father Francis officiating. After Mass, Bobby will be laid to rest in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Napoleonville La.
