Carey Anthony Montet Sr.

Carey Anthony Montet Sr., 75, a resident of Amelia, passed away Sunday, March 14, 2021, at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans.

Carey was born May 4, 1945, in Morgan City, the son of Russell Montet and Nona Mire Montet.

He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, Deborrah LaCoste Montet of Amelia; son, Carey A. Montet II of Amelia; three brothers, Russell “Buck” Montet and wife Dianne of Bayou L’Ourse, Jeffrey Montet and wife Laverne of Baton Rouge, and Mark Montet and wife Karen of Bayou L’Ourse; three grandchildren, Courtney, Shay, and Caitlyn Montet; sister-in-law, Jackie Montet; daughter-in-law, Bobbie Jo Montet.

Carey was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Nona Montet; three brothers, Donald, Larry, and Steve Montet; one sister, Anette Crochet.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 17, 2021 at the Bayou L’Ourse Baptist Church. After services, military honors will be rendered.
