Carmen Freia

Carmen Badeaux Freia, 69, a native of Morgan City, Louisiana passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2023.

Carmen was born August 5, 1953, the daughter of Luke Badeaux, Jr. and Patricia Randall of Morgan City.

Carmen will be lovingly remembered by her husband Danny Freia; daughter Jennifer Cannata and husband Joey; son Luke Mayon; step-son Danny Freia, Jr. and wife Nikki; brothers Randall (Randy)
Badeaux; Michael Badeaux; sister Catherine (Cathy) Badeaux; grandchildren Calvin Mayon; Courtney Guillory; Giovanna Cannata; Lucas Cannata; Jasper Mayon; Saige-Lyn Mayon; Chloey Mayon; step-grandson Aiden Dimatteo; great-grandchildren Corlin Mayon; Sylvie Mayon; Oaklie Mayon; many nieces and nephews and her long time friends Lynette Parent, Diane Martin and Karen Cook.

Carmen was preceded in death by her son, Wayne Mayon, Jr., and parents Patricia and Luke Badeaux, Jr.

Carmen, who was lovingly known by many as “LuLu”, “Nanny” and “Mawmaw”, but for one, like “Wooda”, will always be remembered for her unwavering faith and her love of animals. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and making blankets for family members. She had a love of reading, cooking, traveling, studying her Bible and especially baking treats for her family. Carmen was a big fan of LSU and the Saints. For many years, she was a member of the Women’s and co-Ed bowling leagues in Houma and Morgan City. Carmen had a great sense of humor and was always fun to be around. Carmen was loved by many, especially her family, and will be dearly missed.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation for Carmen on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at Twin City Funeral Home.
