Carrie Vaccarella Bernucho, 86, a Morgan City native and resident, died Friday, Aug. 24, 2018, at Teche Regional Medical Center in Morgan City.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2018, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Twin City Funeral Home in Morgan City with a rosary being prayed at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue Thursday, Aug. 30, 2018, from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Twin City Funeral Home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Morgan City. Burial will follow in the Morgan City Cemetery.
Carrie is survived by her husband of 65 years, Nolan Peter Bernucho of Morgan City; her children, Cathy Stoute of Morgan City, Susan Bourgeois of Mount Juliet, Tennessee, and Barry Bernucho of Houston, Texas; her grandchildren, Beau Bourgeois of Nashville, Tennessee; Diana Stoute of Metairie; Geoffrey Stoute of Morgan City; and Daryl Bourgeois of Denver, Colorado. She also is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She leaves behind her two great-grand pups, Shiloh James and Sage Napoleon, too.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Josephine Marino Vaccarella; four sisters, Rose Hepler, Frances Michel, Josephine Thomas and Mary Anne Vaccarella; and three brothers, Maurice Vaccarella, Carlo Vaccarella and Sam Vaccarella.
Carrie was a homemaker.
