Charles Russell "Rusty" Mitchell Jr.

Charles “Rusty” Russell Mitchell Jr., a resident of Morgan City, passed away Friday, January 28, 2022.

Rusty was born June 21, 1980, in Lafayette, the son of Charles Russell Mitchell Sr. and JoAnn Guidroz Mitchell.

Rusty was a loving father who walked by faith and not by sight. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his sons. Rusty also enjoyed fishing and the outdoors, as well as welding, especially with his dad.

He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his parents, Charles and JoAnn Mitchell of Gibson; wife, Amanda Martin of Morgan City; three sons, Quentin, Landon, and Elijah of Morgan City; two brothers, Justin Mitchell and wife Candice of Oklahoma; Coty Mitchell of Gibson; three nieces, Nevaeh, Mikaela, and Cadence Mitchell; paternal uncle, Carlos Lombas; paternal aunt, Rose Dinger; maternal uncles, Randy and Tony Guidroz; maternal aunts, Kathy Gaspar and Brenda Kerr; mother-in-law, Tina Teague; brother-in-law, David Doucet Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 5, 2022, at Twin City Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Twin City Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. After services, Rusty will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
