Cheryl Rulf Landry

Cheryl Ann Rulf Landry, 63, a resident of Morgan City, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 5, 2022, at Ochsner Health Center in New Orleans, after a long battle with ALS.

Cheryl was born November 19, 1958, in Morgan City, the daughter of Elwood Horace Rulf and Doris Mae Bigler Rulf.

Cheryl enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, who were her world. She enjoyed dancing and cooking, and was known for her famous lasagna.

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her two children, Chad Michael Landry and wife Michele, Kalyn Michelle Landry Palmature and husband Daniel; five grandchildren, Bradly, Andrew, and Anna Landry, Ayden and Bailee Palmature; two sisters, Patricia Rulf Aucoin and husband Jimmy, Terry Lynn Rulf.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Mark Landry; maternal grandparents, Edna Stansbury Bigler and George Joseph Bigler; paternal grandparents, Lydia Givins Rulf and Frank Joseph Rulf; brother, Michael George Lodrigue.

Pallbearers will be Chad Landry, Daniel Palmature, Jimmy Aucoin, Lawrence Simmoneaux, and Edward Bilbo, and Mulrin Rulf. Honorary pallbearers will be Bradly and Andrew Landry and Ayden Palmature.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 10, 2022 at Pharr Chapel United Methodist Church in Morgan City with Rev. Joy Comeaux officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 9, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Twin City Funeral Home. Visitation will continue Thursday, March 10, 2022, at Pharr Chapel United Methodist Church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services. After services, Cheryl will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
