Danny "Bebop" James Fabre

Danny “Bebop” James Fabre 65 a resident of Morgan City, La passed away peacefully Wednesday at Legacy Nursing Home wrapped with love in his daughter’s arms and surrounded by his loved ones. Danny was born on August 27, 1957 in Franklin, Louisiana to Claiborne Peter Fabre and Agnes Ann Duval Fabre. Danny “Bebop” Fabre was a kind, shy, easy-going, gentle Cajun man with a big heart. He enjoyed nothing more than to spend time with family. He had a passion for cooking and eating, especially Cajun dishes. He was a carpenter by trade and a talented self-taught drummer. His favorite music to play was Cajun swamp pop and classic country and singing whatever songs came to mind. He enjoyed watching boxing matches and Saints football games. But Most of all he was the Best Daddy Ever and Proudest Pawpaw. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his only daughter Christina Ann (Fabre) Bergeron or as he lovingly called her “Pumpkin” or “Chrissy”. His son in law Joshua “Big Geno” Bergeron Sr. His granddaughter and greatest pride and joy Savanna Nichole Fontenot. His grandson Joshua “Lil Geno” Bergeron II which he loved as his very own. He was also known as pawpaw to Elijah Oubre and Ryder Daigle. His ex-wife and mother of their only child Patricia Ann Vining whom he loved until his very end. Brothers Johnny Fabre and wife Sandy of Bayou L’Ourse and Rodney Fabre of Berwick. Sisters Sarah Ann Acosta and late husband Bobby Acosta, Jeannie Harris and husband Doug of Arkansas, Rebecca Fabre of Florida, Sandra Fabre of Berwick, Monica and husband Joe Wilyard of Florida, Tina and husband Denny Humphrey of Alaska, aunts and uncles, numerous nieces and nephews, and lots of friends and family. Danny was preceded in death by his parents Claiborne Peter Fabre and Agnes Ann Duval Fabre, two brothers, Jay and Glenn Fabre, two sisters, Patricia Fabre Trosclair and Penny Cooper. Daughter would like to thank Legacy Nursing Home staff and residents and all the health care workers.
