Darrell James Daigle Sr.

Darrell James Daigle Sr., 65, a resident of Morgan City, passed away on August 31, 2021.

Darrell was born on August 21, 1956 in Morgan City, the son of Paul Marshall Daigle and Shirley Myers Daigle.

Darrell was a huge New Orleans Saints Fan, a faithful fan through the good years and the bad years. He loved his family and he cherished every moment that he was able to spend with them. He was loved by everyone and a was a stranger to no one, nor did he know a stranger. He loved his swamp pop music and always enjoyed listening to it with family and friends.

He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by four children, Darrell James Daigle Jr. and wife Sheryl of Morgan City, Byron Daigle of Morgan City, Paul Daigle of Morgan City, Megan Daigle of Morgan City; eight grandchildren, Kylie Freeman, Kolbie Daigle, Breanna Daigle, Arianna Daigle, Courtney Eues, Tayler Daigle, Trevor Daigle, Carley Daigle; eight great grandchildren; Godchild who was more like a daughter, Cherie Ribardi and husband Donald of Morgan City; former spouse and mother of his children, Nancy Ardeneaux of Morgan City; six siblings, Gerald Myers and wife Annie of Denham Springs, Nelson Daigle and wife Barbara of Morgan City, Ernest “Foot” Daigle of Morgan City, Frances Daigle of Moss Bluff, Penny Daigle of Morgan City and Billy LeBlanc of Berwick.

Darrell was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Shirley Myers Daigle.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 in the Morgan City Cemetery.
