Donald H. Dunn

Donald Henderson Dunn, 81, a resident of Bayou Vista, passed away Monday, September 24, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Donald was born on September 27, 1936 in Waynesboro, Mississippi the son of William Elonzo Dunn and Willie Mae Henderson Dunn.

Donald was a devoted and loving husband to his wife and a dedicated and loving father to his children. His greatest joy in his later life was his grandchildren. He was a member of Bayou Vista Baptist Church and he loved his church and his church family. He enjoyed being in the outdoors doing yard work, making sure his lawn always looked its best.

He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 63 years Jean Street Dunn of Bayou Vista; two daughters, Debbie Warner and husband Mark of Casper, Wyoming and Gina Autin and husband Donald of Bayou Vista; nine grandchildren, Nicholas Warner, Kimberly Ellis, Hannah Cornett, Abigail Warner, Liberty Warner, Ellie Warner, Faith Warner, Caleb Autin and Bethany Autin; nine great grandchildren.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, William Elonzo and Willie Mae Henderson Dunn; one son, Donald Ray Dunn; one brother, William Lamar Dunn; one sister, Gethyl Mae Williams.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Bayou Vista Baptist Church with Rev. Steven Kelly officiating. A visitation will be held from 8:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. and following the services Donald will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
