Eric John Crochet

Eric John Crochet, 63, a resident of Morgan City, passed away peacefully Thursday, February 09, 2023, at Terrebonne General Hospital
surrounded by his loving family, after a long, tough battle with pulmonary complications.

Eric was born January 15, 1960, in Morgan City - the son of Clay Joseph Crochet and Evella Mayon Crochet.

Eric was a welder at Conrad Shipyard for over 30 years and welding was his passion. Anyone that knew Eric knew he loved watching football,
as he was an avid fan of the LSU Tigers and the New Orleans Saints. He loved fishing and teaching others how to fish during his free time. He
spent many hours fishing catfish in between the bridges of Morgan City. He was most fond of spending time with his children, which whom he
was extremely proud of and spoke highly of to everyone he encountered. Eric never met a stranger, and was a kind, friendly face to all. He will
be remembered for his endless jokes, stories, and brightening the world with his intelligence and compassion.

He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sons, Durlyn Crochet and Clay Crochet, daughter, Kelsey Crochet and boyfriend.
Carson Marcantel; brothers, Tracy Crochet and wife Mary, Scott Crochet, Ched Crochet, and Dwight Crochet and wife Dawn; his partner,
Beverly Boudreaux, his special grand-dog, Benji, along with many nieces and nephews, and countless friends.
Eric was preceded in death by his parents, Clay and Evella Crochet; one brother, Barry Crochet.

The family would like to thank the staff at Terrebonne General Hospital in Houma, LA, for making his final days as peaceful and comfortable
as possible. The Terrebonne General staff was truly a blessing during this difficult time.

A visitation will be held from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on February 13, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with a Mass Of Christian Burial commencing at 11:00 am Following the services Eric Crochet will be laid to rest in Morgan City Cemetery.
