Francisca Ludivina Ortiz-Mireles

Francisca Ludivina Ortiz-Mireles (Ludy), age 63, of Muzquiz, Coahuila, passed away suddenly on Thursday, October 31, 2024. Ludy was born on July 31, 1961, to Marcelino Ortiz Guajardo and Francisca Mireles.

Ludy was a hard-working woman who took on many roles in life. She initially worked as a pear picker next to her dad, whom she loved. She was also a babysitter and a Spanish-to-English translator. Ludy then worked at Disney, which she loved. After working for Disney, she took a job as an orange picking contractor. In her late years, she loved doing what she loved the most, thrifting and flipping items.

Ludy was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. There was never a dull moment by her side. She dedicated her entire time to always providing for her husband, kids, grandkids, and everyone around her.

Ludy loved to cook and make fresh homemade tortillas. She also loved to laugh, dance, and always joke around. She has a smile that would light up the room. Ludy followed her husband everywhere, and they were always together.

Ludy is survived by her sons, Fabio Ortiz, Eloy Mireles, Stefano Ortiz, and Hector Plata; her daughters, Celeste Ortiz and Shanel Plata; her brothers, Juan Ortiz, Martin Ortiz, and Alvaro Ortiz; her sisters, Refugia Sanchez and Lupe Ortiz; and her grandchildren, Paris Plata, Marceli Mireles, Theodore Bowman, Carolina Mireles, and Luciana Vasquez.

Ludy was preceded in passing by her parents, Marcelino Ortiz Guajardo and Francisca Mireles.; and her brothers, Homer Ortiz and Antero Ortiz.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation in honor of Ludy on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at Twin City Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. until the Service at 11:00 a.m.
