Glenda Jill Gaudet

Glenda “Jill” Gaudet, 46, a resident of Morgan City, passed away Thursday, September 14, 2023.

Jill was born March 14, 1977, the daughter of Charles “Roger” Gaudet and Betty Perkins Gaudet.

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her father, Roger Gaudet and wife “Momma Jo;” four siblings - Beverly Gaudet Hunt, Brenda Gaudet and husband Jeff Robinson, Roger Gaudet II and wife Karen, Chad Gaudet and wife Jen, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jill was preceded in death by her mother – Betty Gaudet; maternal grandparents - Stella and Curtis Perkins; paternal grandparents - Alvin “Jack” and Ethel Gaudet; Her Special Aunt - Vella Bronson; Uncle Sonny Gaudet and Wife Beryl.

What a delight to have known Jill; to have experienced her personality and passion!  She was passionate about her family and especially her love of Jesus!  Jill was not supposed to live past age 10 due to medical complications, but she lived out loud in so many ways!  She ROCKED that extra chromosome!!!

Jill has known God her whole life…  We say that Jill woke up to the face of Jesus but we’re not sure she hasn’t seen His face her whole life…She was the perfect example of unconditional love.  She has shown us the marvels of the spiritual world and an intimacy with Jesus that we dare to strive for….

What is our deepest loss is her final victory!!!!

In Jill’s humor – We can just see Jill at the feet of Jesus saying: “Come here, you beautiful person, you!!”

Oh Jilly, how we will miss you!!!

Visitation will be held Monday, September 18, 2023, at Twin City Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. – 12pm.  The Funeral service begins at 12:00 p.m., Monday, September 18, 2023, at Twin City Funeral Home, with Pastor Brian Head officiating.  Jill will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery at a later date.
