Howard "Chuck" Freeman Jr., resident of Morgan City, La. passed away on March 22, 2024 at Ocshner Hospital in New Orleans, La.
Chuck was born August 15, 1949. He was the son of Howard Freeman Sr. and Lola Theriot Freeman.
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 52 years Barbara Jean Pierron Freeman and their two children Jake Freeman and wife Erin, daughter Jessica Freeman and Kevin Mahoney. Chuck will also be greatly missed by his two grandchildren Lance Freeman and Betsy Freeman.
Chuck was preceded in death by parents Howard Sr. and Lola Freeman, his grandparents John and Marie Viator Freeman and Ivy and Edna Landry Theriot.
He is survived by his brother Keith and wife Gail Freeman, sister Kitty Marin, sister Lori Rink, and sister Melanie Highfill and husband Jeff Highfill. Also many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Chuck was a veteran of the United States Air Force having served in Turkey and Utah. He made many lifelong friends during his 40 year career in executive marine sales. His peers recognized him as someone who brought people together to get things done. Because of this, he was involved in many industry, civic, and government groups.
His outgoing nature and genuine kindness was evident in every interaction, always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. Chuck will be remembered for his infectious laughter, love for adventure, and ability to make even the simplest moments memorable. He will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
A visitation will be held Sunday, March 24, 2024 at Twin City Funeral Home from 5 pm until 8 pm. The visitation will resume Monday, March 25, 2024 from 8 am until 10:30 am at Twin City Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will commence at 11 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Chuck will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
