Jene (Jeno) Blanco,51, a resident of Morgan City, passed away, Wednesday, February 8, 2023.
Jene was born July 30, 1971, in Morgan City, the son of Earl Blanco Sr. and Dorothy Giroir.
Jene better known as Jammin Jeno was a friend to all and never met a stranger. Jeno got his nick name for his love of Djing. When Jeno was not Djing he could be found at the local wrestling events cheering on his favorite wrestlers. He also loved to go camping and fishing. Jeno was devoted in his faith and would help the church with all the media productions. He also loved volunteering at school on snack days.
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his brother, Earl Blanco Jr.; one sister, Penny Hatcher; four nephews, Davin Felton and wife Katy, Herbert Hatcher and wife Melissa, Randy Hatcher, and Christopher Hatcher and wife Marie; four Nieces, Taylor Blanco, Calli Blanco and fiancé Gavin, Ravin Wiggins and Leah Wiggins; fifteen great nieces and nephews, Kora, Bentley, Robert, Stephanie, Jarold, Christopher Jr., Savanna, Britany, Kimberley, Eric, Melissa, Tyler, Rayelynn, Alora and Evelia.; five great-great niece and nephews, Amora, McKayla, Aubrey, Elijah, and Edward. Sister-in-law Dana Matherne, Brother-in-laws Robert Hatcher Jr. and Troy Wiggins. Also numerous cousins and friends.
Jene was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Dorothy Blanco; sister, Mathilda B. Wiggins (Tilla) ; grandparents, Clarence and Lorena Blanco, and Violet and Jene Giroir.
A memorial service will be held at New Life Tabernacle in Morgan City on February 25, 2023. Visitation will be held from 10am-1pm. A going home service will be held at 1pm by Pastor Lee.
