Jewel Elaina Anderson Templet

Jewel Elaina Anderson Templet, 61, a resident of Morgan City, passed away Sunday, June 9, 2019 at the Morgan City Health Care.

Elaina was born June 17, 1957 in New Orleans, the daughter of Leo Anderson and Francis “Jerrye” Thompson DelBuono.

Elaina loved spending time with her grandson, Casey. You could always find Elaina outside; she loved sitting outdoors and spending time with her horses. Elaina also enjoyed crafts; she was constantly working on a new project.

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by one son, Jonathon Hopper of Morgan City; one daughter, Jewel “Amber” Hopper of Morgan City’ two brothers, Buck Anderson of Patterson and Justin Anderson of Arkansas; one grandson, Casey James Hopper; one granddaughter, Megan McKinley; lifelong friends, Claire DeMoss and Lisa Boudreaux.

Elaina was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald “Scooter” Casey Templet; parents, Leo Anderson and Francis DelBuono; step-father, Dale DelBuono.

Elaina’s daughter would like to give a special thanks to her life-long friends that were like family to her and her mother, for all of the care that they gave Elaina; Jillian Morvant, Rita Vinning, and Sandy Fontenot.

Honoring Elaina’s wishes, she will have a private memorial service at a later date.
