John Paul Aucoin

John Paul Aucoin, 84, a native of 4 Mile Bayou and resident of Belle River, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2019 at his home.

John was born July 7, 1934 in Napoleonville, the son of Felix L. Aucoin and Emma Gros Aucoin.

John was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially his twin brother William. He also loved to hunt, fish and reminisce of his days out shrimping and cooking on the boats.

John will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Marie Gros Aucoin; son, Roger Aucoin and wife Althea of 4 Mile Bayou; four daughters, Suzan A. Hebert and husband Joseph of Belle River, Carrie A. Glynn of Belle River, Darlene A. Hebert and husband Wilton of Pierre Part, and Sally A. Blanchard and husband Lynn of Belle River; two brothers William Aucoin and wife Enola and Evert Aucoin; brother in law Thomas Gros and wife Barbara; sister in laws Emily Metrejean and Linda Aucoin; 14 grandchildren, Travis, Quentin, Nikitta, and Dylan Hebert, Joshua Bergeron, Cassie, Tiffany, and Nicholas Hebert, Kayla, Shay, and Gavin Blanchard, Larry and Jessica Aucoin, and Harry Glynn; 26 great-grandchildren, Landon and Kinsley Aucoin, Myles Carter, Skyler Hebert, Tyler Verdin, Lanie and Mia Hebert, Ava Grace and Charlotte Daigle, Jaxton Hebert, Anna-Kate and Abbigale Glynn, Colton Adams, Dani Newman, Tyler and Gracie Bergeron, Sophie and Madison Arnold, Kynleigh and Kaeleigh Smith, Jaylin Shaw, Alaina and Brelynn Winston, Brooklyn and Nevaeh Boudreaux, and Addison Blanchard.

John is preceded in death by his parents, Felix and Emma Aucoin; son, Larry Aucoin; sister, Elvie A Rock; four brothers, Pierre, Louis, James, and Lloyd Aucoin.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Twin City Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Monday, March 11, 2019 at Twin City Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and continue Tuesday, March 12, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services.
