John C. Hebert, Sr., 70, loving husband and father of three children, passed away at his home in Magnolia, TX on Sunday, October 10, 2021.
John was born on August 25, 1951 in Spokane, WA to Charles and Joan Pearson Hebert. He was a graduate of Morgan City High School and received his bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Southwestern Louisiana in 1977. On October 28, 1972, he married his high school sweetheart, Peggy Autin Hebert.
John served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corps from 1970-1974. He then worked in the oil and gas industry for 30 plus years, retiring as the President/CEO of Competitive Management Systems, Inc. in 2018.
John had a passion for fishing, hunting, and gardening. He also loved to travel, dance, and cook BBQ. But most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Besides his beloved wife, John is survived by his two daughters, Jamie Gillooly and her husband Chris and Melissa Mar and her husband Andrew; his son John C. Hebert, Jr. and his wife Melissa; his grandchildren Kaelyn, James, Sydney, Clara, Ryan, and William; his father Charles; and siblings Janelle Yurosky, Charles E. Hebert, Jr., Jean Hebert, Carol Carroll, and Jennifer Dreher. He is preceded in death by his mother Joan and brother Steven Hebert.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 23, at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Roman Catholic Church with Father Henry Sebastian celebrating Mass. A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until Mass time and following Mass, John will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
