Josie Etta LaCoste Folse, 99, a resident of Berwick, passed away peacefully, Sunday, February 4, 2024, at Ochsner St. Mary.
Josie was born February 1, 1925, to Monroe William LaCoste Sr., and Annie Elizabeth Miller LaCoste (aka, Maw Maw Betty.) Josie was the fourth child of 10.
Josie enjoyed going to the casino, fishing, and spending time with her kids and grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her mother Annie Elizabeth Miller; father, Monroe LaCoste Sr.; siblings, Gerald LaCoste, Ira LaCoste, Marjorie Ratcliff, Quanita Oncale, Monroe LaCoste II, Charles LaCoste, Flora Mae LaCoste, Mary Ellen Driskill, Ella Rita Yokum; husband, James Folse; one son, Mark Folse; daughter-in-law, Judy Folse.
Josie is survived by her son, Timothy Folse; daughter, Paula Sanders; son, Mike Folse; grandchildren, Kimberly Mayea, Davey Folse, Benji Sanders, Troy Sanders, Mindy Parria, Nicholas Parria; great-grandchildren, Alyssa Folse, Davey James Folse, Parker Mayea, Jackson Mayea, Kevin Sanders, Melaina Sanders, Nicholas Parria Jr., Kyleigh Parria, Gabriel Coronado, and Sebastian Coronado.
Pallbearers will be Benji Sanders, Troy Sanders, Davey Folse, Parker Mayea, Nicholas Parria Sr., and Nicholas Parria Jr.
Visitation will be held Thursday, February 8, 2024, from 5:00 p.m., until 9:00 p.m., and again Friday, February 9, 2024, at Twin City Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m., with Father Jerry Kitridge officiating. After services, Josie will be laid to rest in the Berwick Cemetery Mausoleum with her husband, James.
