Lawrence Edward Shilling

Lawrence Edward (Ed) Shilling, 83, a resident of Patterson, passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2023.

Ed was born October 20, 1939, the son of Clifford Leroy Shilling and Margie Adams Shilling.

Ed was a man who dedicated himself to his work, known for his strong work ethic and commitment to his career in the oilfield industry.

Ed’s love for his family knew no bounds. He was well respected, and adored by many, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Ed will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his daughters, Terri Dimatteo Hue and husband Jessie and Carri Shilling Johnson and husband Thomas; one son, Kelli Edward Shilling; one sister, Jo Ann Carpenter; ten grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.

Ed is preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Nancy Sawyer Shilling; parents Clifford and Margie Shilling; three brothers, Clifford L. (Lee) Shilling, Jerry Lee Shilling, and Kenneth Reed Shilling; and one son-in-law, John R. Dimatteo Jr.
