Lester P Waguespack Sr.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lester P. Waguespack Sr. on January 30, 2025, at the age of 94. Born on May 22, 1930, in Vacherie, Louisiana, Lester lived a full and vibrant life, ultimately calling Morgan City, Louisiana, home.

Lester was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Alice Waguespack, and a proud father to his daughter - Sally Lawton (Pete), sons, Billy (Phyllis) and Ted Waguespack (Theresa). He was also cherished by his daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Waguespack. 8 grandchildren Jeffrey and Eric Matte, Nicholas Waguespack and Jodie LeBlanc, Megan Waguespack, Jonathan Waguespack, Lauren and Matt Lawton, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

 Lester was a hardworking man, making his mark in the wholesale grocery business as a dedicated salesman.  Lester was a 4th degree Knights of Columbus in the Bayou Vista Council.  Lester was active member of the Bayou Horseshoe Pitchers Association.  He also knew his way around the kitchen, he loved cooking.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate Lester's life on February 1, 2025. A public viewing will be held at Twin City Funeral Home from 8:30am until 10:30am. A Mass in his honor will take place at St. Bernadette at 11:00 a.m. that same day. After the service, we will lay Lester to rest in Morgan City Cemetery. 

Lester's warm spirit, kindness, and sense of humor will be profoundly missed by all who knew him. In this time of sorrow, let us come together to remember the wonderful moments we shared with him and celebrate the remarkable life he led.

Lester was preceded in death by: son - Lester Waguespack Jr., parents- Adam Waguespack and Myrthee Simon Waguespack, 5 brothers.
