Linda Evans Oubre, 74, a resident of Morgan City, passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at Teche Regional Medical Center.
Linda was born on November 21, 1944 in Natchez, Mississippi the daughter of Keller Evans and Ethel Armstrong Evans.
Linda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed sitting by her T.V. and drinking coffee. Linda also enjoyed sewing and reading books. She was an avid LSU and Saints fan. Linda was a very passionate and strong person and she will forever be loved and missed by her friends and family.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by one son, Christopher Oubre Sr. and wife Jea’n of Bayou Vista; six grandchildren, Justin Oubre, Crystal Tomino, Shelby Oubre, Joseph Corter, Christopher Oubre Jr. and Tara Oubre; seven great grandchildren, Addison Theriot, Emma Oubre, Haisley Guidry, Kaiden Granier, Gabriel Aucoin, Justin Oubre, Aucoin; one brother, Raymond Evans and wife Bonnie of Opelousas; sister-in-law, Darlene Oubre; former daughter-in-law, Barbara Oubre; many other friends and family members.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Keller and Ethel Armstrong Evans; husband, Barry Oubre Sr.; two children, Barry Oubre Jr. and Debra Oubre Corter.
Inurnment services will be held in St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery at a later date.
