Marjorie Elizabeth Prince Leblanc Barras

Marjorie “Margie” Elizabeth Prince LeBlanc Barras, 95, a resident of Morgan City, passed away peacefully, Sunday, May 21, 2023, at Ochsner St. Mary, surrounded by her loving family.

Margie was born February 28, 1928, the daughter of Edith Berthelot LeBlanc and Irving Prince Sr.

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her two children, Randy Barras, Dana Barras Bulick and husband Jerry; granddaughter, Jessica Curtis and husband Jeramiah; great-granddaughter, Arya Curtis; two brothers, Murray Prince and wife Linda Kay, Thomas Prince and wife Kim.

Margie was preceded in death by her mother, Edith LeBlanc, and husband R.L; father, Irving Prince Sr; husband, Roland Barras; three brothers, Manhein Prince and Matthew Prince, Irving Prince Jr.; sister, Barbara LeBlanc Greer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Father Francis officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 24, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services, with a rosary being recited at 10:00 a.m. After Mass, Margie will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery Mausoleum.
