Mary Elaine Frazier Thornton

Mary "Elaine" Frazier Thornton, 62, a resident of Bayou L’Ourse, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Elaine was born August 25, 1961, in Pearlington, Mississippi, the daughter of Ona Luxich McAuthor Frazier and Vernon Frazier. 

Elaine found fulfillment in being a compassionate caregiver as well as a bus driver. In her free time, Elaine enjoyed spending her time with her grandchildren, and going out to the casinos. 

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband, Bruce Thornton; one son, Johnathan Frazier and wife Amanda; Woody, and Jamie Morgan; grandchildren, Malcom Frazier, Christopher Morgan, Layne Morgan, and Allysia Morgan; siblings, Elva and her husband Herbet, Elbert and his wife Melinda, Terry, and Martin Jr, and his wife Judy; numerous nieces and nephews. 

Elaine was preceded in death by her mother, Ona McArthur; father, Vernon Frazier; step-father, Martin McArthur Sr., and her siblings. 

Elaine will be laid to rest in Logtown Cemetery in Mississippi at a later date.
