Mathilda Ann “Tilla” Blanco Wiggins, 55, a resident of Bayou Vista, went home to her heavenly home on Monday, August 27, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.
Tilla was born on March 9, 1963 in Morgan City, the daughter of Earl J. Blanco Sr. and Dorothy Giroir Blanco.
Tilla was a member of New Life Tabernacle and had a strong love for the Lord. She received the Holy Ghost and was baptized in the name of Jesus on May 20, 1990 at the Berwick First United Pentecostal Church. She loved her family and every minute that she was able to spend with them. She enjoyed fishing and camping as well as crocheting many things for her family. She loved to read and enjoyed sharing her love for reading with the students at Immanuel Christian School where she would volunteer to read to students in the library. She had a true servant’s heart and loved helping people any way that she could.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband, Troy Wiggins of Bayou Vista; two daughters, Raven Wiggins and Leah Wiggins and fiancé A.J. Streetman; two grandchildren, Raylene Streetman and Evelia Mathilda Streetman; one sister, Penny Hatcher of Morgan City; two brothers, Earl J. Blanco Jr. and Jene George Blanco both of Morgan City; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl J. Blanco Sr. and Dorothy Giroir Blanco; maternal and paternal grandparents; numerous aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at New Life Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church with Rev. Terry Bunner officiating. A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
