Myrtis Louise Harvey

Myrtis Louise Kober Harvey went home to be with the Lord on August 17, 2017, at the age of 82.    Louise was born on February 25, 1935, in Fittler, Mississippi.  She has always put family first and was a stay-at-home mom raising her three children.  Later in years, you could tell that her great-grandchildren brought her great joy by the way her face would light up upon seeing them. Besides devoting her attention to her family, she also spent countless hours praying for others and reading her Bible. She loved the Lord with all her heart.     Louise is survived by her two daughters, Peggy Leonard and Barbara Harvey; one son, Paul Harvey and wife Audrey; five grandchildren: Christina Leonard, Christopher Leonard, Tracy Harvey, Michael Harvey and wife Jenny, Jeffery Harvey and wife Moneice; four great-grandchildren: Trysten, Gregory, Abby, and Gavin; four sisters, Evelyn Domangue, Florence Winters, Sandra Bell and husband Douglas, and Nancy Kober; four brothers, Dale Kober and wife Louann, Jimmy Kober and wife Linda, Ronnie Kober and wife Mary, and Steven Kober and wife Cynthia; along with a host of nieces and nephews.   She was proceeded in death by her husband of 62 years, Gerald J. Harvey; her parents, Henry & Helen Keifer Kober; two brothers, Michael Kober and Wayne Kober; and one sister, June Badeaux.   Funeral arrangements will held be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 20, 2017 at Twin City Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Gowan officiating. A visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the services, and following the services Louise will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.   While we know that she is at peace and that her struggles are at an end, there is pain and sadness, but she has left the legacy of her love, faithfulness, and perseverance.
