It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Paul Herman Dehart Sr., born on January24, 1948, in Houma, Louisiana. Paul departed this life on February 15, 2025, in Morgan City, Louisiana, at the age of 77.
Paul was a passionate musician, known for his exceptional talent as a drummer. His love for music brought joy to those around him and left an indelible mark on the lives he touched. He will be remembered not only for his musical abilities but also for his warm spirit and his unwavering dedication to his family.
He spent his years embracing the beauty of the outdoors with his favorite pastimes of fishing, shrimping, and crawfishing, which he cherished deeply. He is survived by his loving children, Paul Dehart Jr. and wife Rhonda, Malcolm Hillebran, Tana
Savoy and husband Dale, Cliff Hillebran, Timothy Hillebran and wife Natosha, and Dawn Drummond and husband Chad. He is also remembered fondly by his siblings, Freman Dehart, Tex Dehart, Linda Lirette, and Daile Bergeron. He also leaves behind twenty-two grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren. Paul's bond with his beloved dog, Roger, was especially dear to him, providing companionship that brought him much happiness.
Paul was preceded in death by his spouse Deanna Hillebran, his parents Willis and Marie Dehart and two brothers, Willis Dehart and Allen Dehart. A visitation will be held on February 19, 2025, at 9:00 AM at the Twin City Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service that will begin at 1:00 PM on the same day. Friends, family, and all whose lives Paul touched are invited to join us in celebrating his life and sharing their memories.
