Paula Kidder Benoit, 50, a resident of Bayou L'Ourse, passed away Sunday, September 9, 2018 at Chabert Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.
Paula was born August 29, 1968, in Morgan City, the daughter of Easton Paul Kidder and Lucille Guidry Kidder.
Paula was a vibrant, beautiful soul, who had a heart to match; she loved anything that was bright or colorful, but mostly anything the color orange. Paula enjoyed being at the camp, being outdoors was one of her favorite things to do. If not at the camp, sitting outside on her front porch feeding her fish would suffice. She also enjoyed going to garage sales with her closest friends; anytime Paula saw a garage sale sign, she would make sure to stop and see what she could find. Paula loved spending time with all of her family and friends; one of her favorite pass times was having everyone over to play a game of Bourre`. Paula believed anytime she saw a butterfly it meant a loved one who had passed was around; now when her loved ones see a butterfly, they shall think of her.
Paula will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband, Donald Benoit of Bayou L'Ourse; her mother, Lucille Guidry Kidder of Bayou L'Ourse; one brother, Tommy Kidder and wife Amy of Bayou L'Ourse, brother-in-law, Willie Rollins Sr. of Bayou L'Ourse; Vatchel Werline; two godchildren, Terri Lyne Thibodeaux of Donaldsonville and Bridget Crochet of Bayou L'Ourse; 7 other nieces and nephews, Brandy Gros, Willie Rollins Jr., Brittany Thibodeaux, Amber Cavalier, Tabatha Duhon, Tomas Kidder, and Tonya Kidder; numerous great nieces and nephews; her little special blessings, Kaylee "Bug" Chenier and Karissa "My Girl" Chenier.
Paula was preceded in death by her father, Easton Paul Kidder; two sisters, Peggy Duhon and husband Terry Duhon and Nancy Rollins.
Paula's family would like to give a special thanks to all of the doctors and nurses at Charbert Medical Center for all of the love and care they shown Paula during her time there.
