Peggy Lee Boone

Peggy Lee Boone, 64, a resident of Berwick, passed away Monday, March 22, 2021, at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans.  

Peggy was born November 10, 1956, in Morgan City, the daughter of Clarence Lee and Nelia Cavalier Lee.

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her two daughters, Margaret Bergeron and husband Mark Jr. of Berwick, Peggy Sue Sons and husband John Jr. of Berwick; one step-son, William “Billy” Boone Jr.; step-daughter, Loretta Boone; one brother, Euclide Legnon; two sisters, Anna Stevens and Mary Comeaux; eight grandchildren, Melanie, Mallory, and Mark Henry Bergeron; Tawny, John III, Ariel, Logan, and Wade Sons;  three godchildren, Linda Vorachack, Glenda Leal, and Gregory Payne.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Nelia Lee; husband, William Boone Sr.; step-son, Richard Boone, one brother, Norah Legnon; four sisters, Betty Comeaux, Gloria Horton, Rita Legnon, and Dorothy Lee.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 26, 2021 at Twin City Funeral Home with Pastor Steven Porter officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 25, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Twin City Funeral Home, and again Friday, March 26, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services. After services, Peggy will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
