Ricardo "Ricky" J Cortez Sr.

Ricardo J. “Ricky” Cortez Sr., 80, a resident of Morgan City, passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Teche Regional Medical Center.

Ricky was born on January 30, 1937 in Morgan City the son of Whitney Cortez and Edna Carpenter Cortez.

He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by five children, Ricky Cortez Jr., Richard Cortez, Stephen Cortez, Daniel Cortez all of Morgan City, Charity Williams of Baton Rouge; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one sister, Deanna Cortez of Morgan City.

Ricky was preceded in death by his parents, Whitney and Edna Carpenter Cortez; wife, Delores Barras Cortez; one son, Edwin Cortez

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2018 in the Morgan City Cemetery.
