In Memory of Roberta V. Justilian

Roberta Justilian, a devout Catholic, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on December 30, 2023, at the age of 80. Surrounded by her 5 children and family.  She was born on October 10, 1943, in Morgan City, LA. 

Roberta was a loving and dedicated homemaker, prioritizing her family above all else. Her care and selflessness were evident in the way she nurtured and supported her children throughout their lives. Whether it was attending their school events or providing a comforting shoulder to lean on, Roberta's love knew no bounds. 

Roberta is survived by her cherished children: sons, Alan Justilian and wife Veronica,  Mark Justilian and wife Tiffanie, daughters Ann LeBlanc and husband Todd, Maria Landry and husband Kory and Mary Hidalgo and husband Jared. Also her 20 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Her presence in their lives will forever be treasured, as she played an integral role in shaping the individuals they have  become.

Roberta was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Theresa Verret, two brothers, Viltress "VJ" Verret and Oswald Verret.

Outside of her role as a homemaker, Roberta actively participated in various community organizations. She was a dedicated member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Ladies Altar Society. Roberta also found solace and comfort in her faith, being an active member of Our Lady Star of the Sea confraternity. Additionally, she supported her community through her involvement in the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary.

Roberta's vibrant spirit and kindness will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of love and devotion will continue to inspire her family and friends as they navigate life without her. She will forever hold a special place in their hearts.

Family and friends are invited to join in remembering and paying their respects to Roberta Justilian on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at St. Andrews Catholic Church in Amelia, La.,  from 8:00a.m. until the Rosary at 9:30a.m. Mass will begin at 10:00a.m.

Rest in peace, Roberta Justilian. May your soul find eternal peace in the embrace of your loved ones who have gone before you. You will forever be missed, remembered and loved.
