Rosalie (Rose) Guidry, 82, a lifetime resident of Morgan City, passed away peacefully, Thursday, March 9, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loved ones.
Rosalie was born July 7, 1940, in Bayou Gauche, Louisiana, the daughter of Eugene Rodriguez and Lualice Matherne Rodriguez.
Rose was a loving mother and grandmother who loved to spend time with family and friends. Her favorite pass time was being outdoors working in her yard taking care of her flowers. She loved cooking, fishing, arts and crafts, and taking care of her family. Rose was a friend to everyone and never met a stranger, she even became Aunt Rose to many.
Rose will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her, three daughters Lesley Dunagin and husband Kenneth, Darlene Picou and husband Charles, and Bonnie Guidry; one sister, Gene Badeaux and husband Hayze; two daughter-in-law, Gwen and Angela; ten grandchildren, Leroy, Glynn, Brent, Jaclyn, Jeramy, Gerald III, Ashley, Daniel, Zachary, and Haley; eleven great grandchildren, Dane, Colt, Beau, Charlie, Lucy, Jake Jr., Phoebe, Dominic, Lillyian, Payton, and Angel.
Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Guidry Sr.; her parents, Eugene and Lualice Rodriguez; three sons, Gerald Guidry Jr. (Nuggie), Glynn Guidry Sr., and Luke Guridry.
The family would also like to thank their neighbors, Ochsner St. Mary, and Hospice for their help and support.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00p.m., Saturday, March 11, 2023, at Twin City Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Saturday, March 11, 2023, at Twin City Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m., until the time of services. After services, Rosalie will be laid to rest at Morgan City Cemetery.
