Rosella Vaughn Sanders

Rosella Vaughn Sanders, 91, a resident of Berwick, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 12, 2023, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Rosella was born October 21, 1931, in Plaquemine, the daughter of Bouvey Vaughn and Mildred Landry Vaughn.

Rosella was the glue that held her family together; if she could have taken every person into her care that needed her, she would have, that’s how big her heart was. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren, and she enjoyed cooking for them and spending time with them.

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her four children, Anthony Berthelot and girlfriend Celeste of Thibodaux, Stephanie Sanders of Berwick, Hebert Sanders III and wife Cheryl of Bayou Vista, and Kyle Sanders of Berwick; stepson, Larry Sanders and wife Cathy of Morgan City; three sisters, Elsie Vaughn, Joyce Vaughn, and Rita Vaughn; 18 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren.

Rosella was preceded in death by her parents, Bouvey and Mildred Vaughn; husband, Hebert Sanders Jr.; sons, Victor Berthelot and Emile Berthelot; daughter, Cedonia Fryou; two grandchildren, Avanda Salvador and Mark Berthelot; brother, Albert Vaughn.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Twin City Funeral Home with Mitch Collier officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Twin City Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services. After services, Rosella will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
