Roslyn “Boonie” Jane Daigle Cortez, 58, a resident of Morgan City, passed away peacefully Monday, January 29, 2024, at her home.
Roslyn was born March 26, 1965, in Morgan City, the daughter of Gerald Peter Daigle and Mayola Dunn Daigle.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her father, Gerald Daigle of Morgan City; husband, Stephen Cortez of Morgan City; daughter, Nicole Perry of Morgan City; two brothers, Rory J. Daigle and Ray J. Daigle, both of Batesville, AK; three sisters, Roxann D. Judd of Fort Walton Beach, FL, Rhonda D. Bisceglia, and Renetta D. Bennett, both of Lacombe, LA; three grandchildren, Eli, Emmett, and Jax Mejia.
Rosyln was preceded in death by her mother, Mayola Dunn Daigle; grandmothers, Juanita Lovell and Orelia Dunn; nephews, Teddy Ray Daigle, and Walter Andrew Vaughn.
Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at Twin City Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 31, 2024, from 11:00 am until 3:00 p.m. at Twin City Funeral Home. After services, Roslyn will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery Mausoleum.
