Ruby Veillon Thibodeaux

Ruby Thibodeaux, a native of Mamou, Louisiana, and a resident of Morgan City since 1961, passed away March 15, 2020, at her residence in Amelia at the age of 86, after her body just couldn’t go anymore.

To cherish her memory, Ruby leaves behind her daughters Patty Scully and husband Edward, Debbie Foret, Earline Rogers and husband Chris; son, Carl Thibodeaux Jr. and companion Sabrina White. She had 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

She joins in heaven her parents, Olivia McGuire and Simon Veillon; her brother, her ex-husband, Rodney Thibodeaux, which she always had a bond with that could never be broken but things got in the way; sister-in-law Emily Thibodeaux, brother-in-law Rodnis Thibodeaux, and other family members.

The family would like to express their thanks and gratitude of appreciation to Patty and Edward Scully for providing awesome care during the last days of her life, providing her with laughs, storytelling, eating eating, and even more eating! Thank you both for making mom so happy in her last days.

Also a special thanks to our Lighthouse Community Church family for all the support and prayers during our families time of need and going the extra mile to comfort us.
