Russell Joseph Carlisle

Russell Joseph Carlisle, 71, a resident of Morgan City, passed away Thursday, June 7, 2018.

Russell was born August 28, 1946 in Luling, the son of  John F. Carlisle and Ester Kinler Bourg.

Russell was a proud Air Force Veteran as well as a retired police officer of Morgan City Police Department, whom he served for over 20 years. In his spare time while working at the police department, he loved bringing his daughters to the gun range to shoot. After retiring, Russell enjoyed spending his time fishing and hunting, and you could always find him sitting at Shoney's with friends having a cup of coffee.

Russell will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his two daughters, Kim Hebert and husband Joseph and Sandy Carlisle of Thibodaux; companion Sharon Aucoin of Morgan City, two sisters, Debbie Ory of Luling and Penny Faggard of Crown Point; two grandchildren, Bryce Tompkins and Emily Hebert.

Serving as pallbearers will be the Morgan City Police Department.

Russell was preceded in death by his parents, John Carlisle and Ester Bourg; step-father, Richard "Rico" Bourg.

A service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Twin City Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Gowan officiating. A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until time of services. After services, Russell will be laid to rest in Morgan City Cemetery with military honors by the Morgan City Veteran's Squad and Keesler's Air Force.
