Samuel Paul Romero

Samuel Paul Romero Sr., 81, a resident of Morgan City, passed away Sunday, January 23, 2023, at Franklin Health Care.

Samuel was born July 24, 1941, in Morgan City, the son of Samuel Romero and Marjorie Herbert Romero.

Samuel was an easy-going guy who loved to sit on his swing, smoking his Winston’s while drinking his coffee. He also loved sitting with his fur baby CoCo and watch cowboy shows.

He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his three children, Samuel Romero Jr. and friend William Shader, John Anthony Romero and Wife Amanda, and Lisa Richard and husband Jimmy Richard Jr.; brother, Danny Romero; one grandchild, Layla Marie Richard.

Samuel was preceded in death by his wife, Essie Renfroe; father, Samuel Romero, and wife Inez Romero; mother, Marjorie Romero Verrett and husband Gilbert Verrett; brother, Lucas, and wife Debra Romero; sister, Sandra, and husband Ronald Duffy. He also leaves behind a host of Nephews and nieces.

The family would like to thank his brother-in-law Warren Renfore and family, nephew Merlin Venable and family, for all their support and care, and thank the staff of legacy Health care of franklin and heart of hospice.
