Theresa Marie DeJarnette

Theresa Marie DeJarnette, 59, a resident of Patterson, Louisiana passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 2, 2018, at home surrounded by her loving family.

Theresa was born January 1st, 1959 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the daughter of Jack Vincent Bowman and Theresa DeJarnette Bowman.

Theresa graduated Cum Laude from the Tulane University Law School and worked as a Real Estate Agent and Owner of Caviar Realty, LLC. She was an active member of Daughters of the King at Christ Church Cathedral on St. Charles Ave. in New Orleans as well as a charter member of the NYX Mardi Gras Krewe of New Orleans before moving to Patterson with her husband, “Captain Caviar”.

Theresa will be sadly missed and very lovingly remembered by her husband Capt. John E. Burke, Jr of Patterson; along with her mother, Theresa Bowman; two step-children, Scott Lincoln Burke and wife Cibele Maia Burke of Indiana and Sarah Elizabeth Burke of Baton Rouge; Theresa had one step-granddaughter, Annabella Burke, and loved her 4 legged little baby Angel who came from heaven, named HotRod !!

A memorial service will be held in Theresa's honor at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, August 11, 2018, at Christ Church Cathedral, 2919 St. Charles Ave., New Orleans, LA 70115. A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, Theresa's family ask that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
